LANGUAGE AND CULTURAL EXCHANGE PROGRAM

The International Gateways Language and Cultural Exchange Program (LACE) seeks to promote cross cultural friendships between International Gateways students and SJSU students. The purpose is to enhance positive understanding and appreciation for cultural diversity in an informal atmosphere.
The International Gateways Language and Cultural Exchange Program (LACE) seeks to promote cross cultural friendships between International Gateways students and SJSU students. The purpose is to enhance positive understanding and appreciation for cultural diversity in an informal atmosphere.
LACE is a voluntary program for International Gateways and SJSU students. LACE pairs students of different cultural backgrounds for one academic semester to promote English language conversation for International Gateways students, and foreign language conversation and cultural exchange for SJSU students.

If you are an International Gateways student, you can practice your English with an SJSU student. If you are an SJSU student, it is a way to meet international students and help their English language skills, while developing some of your foreign language skills.

NOTE: International Gateways students who wish to apply to the LACE program must be currently enrolled students. The program is coordinated through International Gateways at SJSU.
