I received a BFA in Graphic Design from San José State University in 2001. Upon graduation, I spent several years at Pentagram, working on a broad range of projects including branding, print, packaging, exhibit and web. During that time I also worked extensively as an independent designer, with a special interest in arts and community-oriented organizations. In 2007, I co-founded studio1500, a design firm in San Francisco that focuses on brand development, where I am a creative director. I also serve on the AIGA San Francisco Board of Directors as the Diversity Chair. I returned to SJSU to teach in the Spring of 2011. I was born in México City, and have been living in San Francisco since 1990
