Emily's Dash Foundation is a nonprofit organization created by Albert and Susan Koenig to tell the story of Emily Koenig, their 12 year old daughter who succumbed to Meningitis, and to educate the public, raise money for research;and increase awareness for Meningitis, as well as provide news and information about the foundation. It is both an educational and personal website.

Susan Koenig, Emily's mother, worked tirelessly to create this website via many emails and live video chats. She now knows more about website building than she ever wanted to know.

The website design is based on a similar non-Google Sites website and required the following.

The website offers help to the community by working with employees, employers, partners and volunteers to offer resources, advice, training and support to improve the job market. Though it is very much an informational website, its inspiration is personal.

Though a current website existed, it did not provide the collaborative and integration abilities of Google products.

The website is informational, offering resources such as medical, educational, nutritional and other types of providers to viewers. It also offers the ability for viewers to buy, sell or trade goods.
