CEDAW will hold a half-day general discussion on "trafficking of women and girls in the context of global migration" during its 72nd session to prepare the elaboration of the general recommendation  --  Friday 22 February 2019  --  Palais Wilson, Geneva, Switzerland
NEW!  The Committee for the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families will hold its 30th session from 1 to 12 April 2019 in Palais Wilson, Ground Floor Conference Room.  The Committee will consider the reports of Albania, Guatemala, Libya and Tajikistan.  It will additionally establish list of issues (LOIs) for Bolivia and Cabo Verde based on reports submitted, as well as list of issues under the simplified reporting procedure (LOIPR) for Sao Tome and Principe.  The Committee has set aside time for CSOs and NHRIs to provide oral briefings in respect of countries being considered, which are scheduled on Monday, 1 April 2019, from approximately 10:30 to 11:30, and will take place in a public meeting.  The meeting with CSOs and NHRIs usually immediately follows the opening of the session and may start earlier than 11:00 am.  For the schedule of considerations of States parties' reports, please contact the Secretariat and/or consult the CMW webpage. Deadline for submission of written inputs is Monday 11 March 2019.
