Congratulations to Cedar, our student of the month for March! Cedar demonstrates many leadership skills and we are grateful to have her in our class! Here is a quick narrative from Cedar about her and life in sixth grade, enjoy!

"Some of my favorite parts of school this year have been my social interactions, hanging out with my friends, and in academics-writing. I enjoy being the oldest class in the school. I enjoy it because I know that when I was little I looked up to the 6th graders, so it's cool to think that kids might be looking up to me! My favorite subject this year is writing. Outside of school I like to dance, I take 3 classes a week. I also like to go horseback riding and hangout with my friends and family. I also play the ukulele.  One thing that made my year really good was my teacher and the ability to make my own choices and not have as many "strict rules"."

Congratulations to Sarah, our student of the month for the month of November.  Sarah is an outstanding student, she is always prepared and continues to go out of her way by helping others.  Sarah tries new ways to solve problems and helps her peers by explaining using different methods, especially in math.  Sarah consistently shows respect for her peers as well as for adults.   She holds many classroom jobs such as bucket filler, chairs,  librarian,  and peacekeeper.   Her continued efforts in her academics as well as her peer relationships are her biggest assets. She has a love for music and plays the cello and the drums.   She's involved with chess, band, and enjoys being challenged.   I'm so very proud of Sarah and grateful for her as part of our class! Her contributions to our class are greatly appreciated.
