The South Huntington Union Free School District offers a variety of summer camps for students entering grades K-8. Click any of the links on the top of the page to access brochures, schedules, applications, tuition information, and registration.  Please note that any of our half day programs can be combined to make it a full day camp program experience!


For 2018, all programs are held at Walt Whitman High School, 301 West Hills Rd unless otherwise noted.

Our programs include: 

Wildcat Coding/Design Camp-Minds of The Future: Open to students entering grades 1-6, this program introduces students to the basics of computer science by means of coding/programming. Coders will explore various coding websites, programs, and robotics! They will interact with Dash and Dot Robots, the Cue Robot, Colby, Code-A-Pillar, and Osmo. Students will also be immersed in 3D printing, design challenges and maker ideas!

Wildcat Coding/Design Camp-Minds of The Future 2: Open to students entering grades 7-8, this program introduces students to Python and Java Script with the Cue Robots. Coders will explore various coding websites, programs, and interact with the 3D printer. All designers will create 3D models. 

Wildcat Cross Training Camp:  Open to high school students, entering grades 9-12, this 4 week program is for individuals interested in getting stronger and faster. The program will cater to both the individual that has never lifted a weight before, as well as the more experienced lifter.  Within this program, Coach Lauria will be teaching proper form and correcting every athlete throughout the process. Each day of the 4 weeks, 1-2 different lifts/exercises will be taught followed by a cross training style workout which will be modified to each athlete’s ability.  Along with the weight training, there will be fitness games, yoga and competitions among the athletes to keep it challenging and fun!!

Wildcat Science Camp: Open to students entering grades 1-6, this program will spark, promote and cultivate camper’s interest in science.  A completely hands on experience will immerse children in a range of STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) activities and projects.  Each engaging day is aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and will take place inside and outside the classroom.  We will use microscopes, visit Star Lab, extract DNA, launch water bottle rockets, create slime, catapults and so much more.  

Wildcat Sports Camp: Open to students entering grades K-8, this program offers a variety of sports and activities for all boys and girls. Activities included are: Basketball / Flag Football / Cheerleading / Baseball / Softball Boys and Girls Lacrosse/Soccer Recreation /Bowling/Wrestling/Track & Field/Field Hockey/Fencing/Tennis/Golf. Wildcat Kids “A-Cat-emy is part of Wildcat Sports Camp and it is open to students entering grades K-2, this program introduces students to a variety of recreational sports such as basketball, soccer, and kickball.
