Shotguns are some of the most common and versatile firearms ever built. Almost any task in shooting can be accomplished simply by changing ammunition. This course is designed to teach both the beginner and experienced shooter techniques to maximize a shotguns potential as a defensive tool.

  • How and Why It's Important to Pattern Your Shotgun
  • Why You Need To Aim
  • Best Choices to Equip Your Shotgun For Defense
  • Proper Stance For Close-Range Accuracy and Speed
  • Reloading The Shotgun Effectively
Required equipment:
  • Tactical shotgun (pump or semi‐auto)
  • Sling for shotgun
  • 200 rounds birdshot
  • 20 rounds 00 buckshot
  • 40 rounds slug ammunition
  • Eye and ear protection
Recommended additional equipment:
  • Dump pouch or other means to carry additional shotgun ammo
  • Hat or head covering

  • Cost: $160 if student provides firearm, ammunition and safety gear (protective glasses and ear protection).
  • Firearm, ammunition and safety gear (protective glasses and ear protection) can be provided for an additional fee.
  • Space is limited to eight students per class and advanced registration and payment is required!
