Homework increase.As we prepare your students for the end of their third grade year, our homework load will be increasing. Riggs words will remain the same, however, we will increase their take home math homework, writing and math facts.Homework is intended to solidify concepts. If your child is struggling to complete it nightly in under 45 minutes, please email me directly or put a note in their planner!

Make up policiesIf your child is absent from school or goes home sick - they will be sent any work home to complete as homework after the day. They have two days to complete. Should the day be at the end of the week, it will be due the following Monday for it to be recorded.If your child will be gone for an extended period, please notify Mrs. De Salvo. If possible, she will try to put together assignments that the student can work on at home. Assignments may or may not be able to be completed at home due to the absence of in class instruction.Thank you!

HomeworkIn 3rd grade we learn how to organize our assignments in our planners that need to be signed by parents.Our homework weekly: - M-TH Riggs (spelling). A hard copy of spelling words should be in a student's folder weekly. If it is not there, have your student request another copy from Ms. De Salvo.- M-TH Math workbook/worksheet. This will be recorded daily in their planner.- Daily reading and reading tower initialed if they complete any books (read to your child, have them listen to audio books, talk about reading and read texts)- Signed planner M-TH.
