IN PARTNERSHIP WITH FAMILY AND GOD, OUR MISSION IS TO:
NURTURE CHILDREN SPIRITUALLY, PHYSICALLY, ACADEMICALLY AND SOCIALLY
AS THEY GROW IN CHRIST-LIKENESS

Thanks to all of you that came for Grandparents' Day.  All enjoyed the Columbus Children's Theater production of The Three Little Pigs and lunch afterward.  It was a special day indeed.

Did you know the church sponsors a basketball league for boys and girls ages K-12.

Next Sunday the church will host its annual Trunk or Treat Plus event.  It's a fun and safe place to enjoy costumes and candy with friends and neighbors.  Hope to see you there.

Veteran's Day

We honor all of those that have served and are currently serving our country.  On Thursday, November 9th at 10:15 we will hold our annual Veteran's Day assembly in the sanctuary.  Please invite any current or former military personnel you know.  The staff and students will honor their service.  More details to come.

What is The FEAST?

Every year we gather as a school community for a turkey dinner.  Students invite family and the pastoral staff serves up lunch.  It's a special day you don't want to miss.  Mark your calendars for November 21st and look for more details to come.

BOOK IT! Reading Program is Back!

We are excited to hold a BOOK IT! contest once again this year.  Winning classes will celebrate with a huge pizza party at lunch.  Our goal is 100% of the kids get to the party.  Happy reading!

Box Tops

The competition is on!   We are collecting Boxtops from now until the end of October.  Winning classrooms will win an awesome lunch time party and kickball game. Bring in the Boxtops and help us earn free supplies for our school. The last day for donations is October 27th.

This Week in Chapel

This week in chapel Pastor Ashley brought the students a great lesson about the importance of obeying the Lord when he asks us to going the extra mile.  It is easy to think hard work is someone else's job, but the Bible was the very first book that talked about having grit.  Jesus taught is someone asks you to go one mile, then you should go two without complaint.  In practical terms for all of us, we need to give that extra effort whether it is in the home, in the classroom or witnessing to others.  Have a conversation with your kids about what going the extra mile means to them.

ShepNaz Basketball

Shepherd Church runs a K-12 basketball league for boys and girls alike.  Games and practices take place all winter on the campus of Shepherd.  Click here for more info and ways to register.
