Dear Shepherd Families,

It's with a heavy heart that I share I will not be returning to Shepherd next year as principal.  Nearly four years ago I prayed for the opportunity to work in ministry and serve in a Christian school.  God answered those prayers when I met Pastor Tim a few years ago and a friendship was made.  I was blessed to have Pastor Rob, Pastor Tim and the board select me for principal two years ago.  I was also blessed because my wife was willing to work in Hilliard City Schools which provided the needed benefits for our four children and both of us.

This year she will be transitioning out of Hilliard to begin a non-profit serving children throughout Central Ohio.  As a result, I will be returning to the public school systems in order to fully provide for the family moving forward.  As much as I would love to stay at Shepherd, the Lord has laid out different plans for us.

I cannot express how much I have enjoyed my time at Shepherd.  It has been the most rewarding work of my career and I will be forever grateful.  Thank you for trusting us and making this season of ministry so rich for my family and me.

The school is in great shape moving forward.  We are expecting the highest enrollment in over a decade next year.  SCS is in a strong financial position with a great team of teachers in place, a supportive and praying church behind it, great families enrolled in it, and a strong partnership with Little Lambs Children's Center.  I know your children are in the best possible place to grow spiritually, physically, academically and socially.  The future looks bright.

As for the next principal, Pastor Rob and his team have been working hard to bring an experienced Christian administrator into Shepherd this summer.  I expect he will be in touch with you this week to update you on where they are in that process.

In the meantime, I look forward to touching base with all of you this week and ending the school year on a high note.

God Bless,
Mr. Pease

Dear Shepherd Christian families,

The last day of school is almost here and we are planning for a fun day for all our students and families. We will begin with our awards assembly in the sanctuary beginning at 9:30 on Friday May 25th. Doors will open at 9:15 and all families are welcome to attend. Immediately following the assembly, we will clap out our fifth-graders and then we will load up in cars and head to Hunter’s Ridge Pool. Parents are welcome and encouraged to stay at the pool.

The pool assigns wrist bands to all eligible students based on their swimming ability and parent’s wishes. You will need to indicate which level of permission you give for your swimmers on the back of this sheet.

At 2:15 we will pack up and everyone will leave the pool. Students who are with their parents may leave from the pool. Parents that bring other students besides their own children, must return to SCS by 2:30. REMEMBER, THERE IS NO AFTER CARE. If you are willing and able to drive to the pool, we ask that you let us know that as well. All driving parents will need to have license and proof of insurance filed with the office if they are driving students other than their own children.

Finally, kids should come to school with swimsuits on under their clothes and remember that two-piece swimming suits are not permitted. This helps us to get to the water faster! Also, remember to bring a packed lunch to be eaten at the pool and to bring your own sunscreen and towels.

It is going to be a great day and a fantastic finish! See you then.

Little Lambs will be closed on May 25th for required maintenance.  This is Shepherd Christian School's last day of school.  Little Lambs asks that you please make arrangements before and after school since no child care will be provided.
