Adaptive lifestyle monitoring

This project aims to address the technological challenges involved in the user-centred design of personalised and adaptive lifestyle monitoring which is the long term, continuous collection and analysis of a person’s day-to-day activity levels and related environmental parameters within their home.

The main objectives of the project are:-
  • Identification and collation of user requirements for lifestyle monitoring for the design
  • Research and development of:
    • feature extraction and fusion from multimodal data obtained from visual sensor
    • adaptive models of behaviour with parameters learned from fused features and the user feedback
    • methods for improving robustness and sensitivity for various ambient conditions
  • Evaluation of the solution by end-users at various stages of the design.
