Subject Motto: Boosting Sun Hoi students’ English language ability and creating a conducive English learning environment


Learning & Teaching Objectives:
1.    To develop students’ competence in the four skill areas of speaking, listening, reading and writing so that they can use the language confidently as a tool for communication, study, work, and enjoyment.
2.    To inspire and equip students to take responsibility for their own self-learning in English.
3.    To create and nurture a rich English reading and speaking atmosphere at school.
4.    To cater for students’ different learning preferences and develop strategies to better students’ learning. 


Learning & Teaching Strategies:
1.    Incorporating DSE electives (e.g. Social Issues, Popular Culture and Drama) in Junior curriculum
2.    Designing CORE and ELECTIVE syllabus and organising lift-off and elite classes in all forms to cater for learner diversity
