2019 Senior Academic Programme
NCEA Level 1, 2 and 3

Credits are the currency of the NCEA qualification.

Generally speaking one credit represents ten hours of learning and assessment.

This includes teaching time, homework and assessment time.

A standard course generates between 18 and 24 credits.

Within this 18-24 credit range, departments will have the discretion to provide extension when required and as professionally judged.

Any extension above the minimum number of credits offered in a course will only be approved following the Diverse Learners Identification Process.
