Registration packets were sent home with students in grades 6-12 last week for the upcoming Technology conference in Carbondale.
If your student wishes to attend, return the field trip waiver, the 2 page registration form and the $25 registration fee to the office by Friday, December 12. Please make checks payable to Shawnee High School.
If you wish to pay by debit or credit card you may logon to the website www.sitconference.org and register there, return the field trip waiver to the office and let us know that you registered online. Scholarships are available for those who wish to attend but are unable to pay the registration fee. Simply return the field trip waiver and the 2 page registration form to the office and let us know that you would like to be considered for a scholarship. Scholarship funds are limited and will be awarded at the discretion of the administration.
Interested in presenting? The prizes for presenters are pretty awesome! The presentation time is only about 15-20 minutes with 10-15 minutes for questions/answers. Students know a lot about the technology they use daily. You might be able to show other students something cool that you have discovered or a skill that you have mastered. We would be willing to help you prepare a presentation if you are interested, just let us know!
