The Shawnee Veterans Wall Memorial Committee will be hosting their first fundraiser Thursday October 23rd from 4 to 7 p.m. in the new Shawnee Elementary cafeteria. It will include chili, hot dogs, drink, and dessert for $5.00 for adults, $2.00 kids 12 & under, and Free for 5 yrs and under. They will also be selling raffle tickets for a patriotic quilt that is comprised of blocks sewed by the Shawnee High School Beta Club members. All public is encouraged to attend and help out this cause. It will coincide with Shawnee's parent-teacher conferences that are also taking place that evening.
