Hello everyone and welcome back for the 2017-2018 school year!

The tutoring center will be held in the library and will be run by a committee of four teachers; Miss Sustello and Miss Lawrence. In an effort to help your child increase his or her academic achievement, this committee will help to organize after school re-takes of summative assessments and assist in tracking after school tutoring sessions for extracurricular activities. In addition to this, the back of the library will be split into four designated sections; Science, Mathematics, Social Studies, and English. On a daily basis, each section will have a content area teacher in attendance to specifically assist your child with the subject they are struggling with. It is our hope that the tutoring center will become a place that your child feels comfortable going to and receive the help they need in order to achieve their academic goals! Below, you can find the tutoring center hours of operation. We are NOT open on half days (11:00 a.m. dismissal). Thank you and have a great year!

Extracurricular Activity Eligibility Policy
If a student fails one or more major subjects, he or she will be required to attend tutoring sessions
at least three days per week until passing grades are achieved. As long as the student is attending
the minimum number of tutoring sessions required per week, he or she may participate in contests or performances. If the number of subjects failed during any given week reaches three, the student is automatically ineligible to participate until passing grades are achieved. In all cases where a student must attend tutoring sessions, he or she is required to attend a minimum of two days per week until passing grades are achieved or the student will be ineligible to participate in the week’s contest, performance, or activity.
