Students CAN: (volunteering requirements cannot be done during the school day. After school hours, weekends only!)
Volunteer in the community, clean-up the gardens around the school, tutor students, volunteer in the library, etc.
Students CAN NOT: mow lawns for pay, babysit younger siblings, babysit for pay, help out in a classroom during study hall, etc.

Keep in mind all students continuing involvement in NJHS or to become a member must maintain academic excellence and uphold the pillars all year long.

Any 6th and 7th graders who qualify by meeting the academic standard of High Honor roll for the first three-quarters please pick up a form in the office or see the attachment. Students must complete 5 hours of Community Service as well and attach this information to the form.

|All 20 community service hours for current members MUST be completed by this date. If you already submitted your form with all 20 hours, that is acceptable. If you did not earn 20 hours when you submitted your form in December, you MUST turn in THIS form!||Last school day in April|
|Faculty will receive the list of qualifying students for recommendations.||May 2017|
|Faculty Council will review the applications.|
|Students will be notified by letter of their acceptance.||May 2017|
|Induction Ceremony: 6 pm in the Southern Auditorium: Note: All NJHS Members--Current and New MUST report to the auditorium NO later than 5:30pm!|
