GMAIL C:\fakepath\ issue on certain files

I recently found I had an issue when uploading an attachment that had an unusual file extension that Google did not understand. If you ever get a "C:\fakepath" error when you try to upload a non-standard file through gmail as an attachment, use this workaround:
  1. rename the file with a different extension (i.e.) "blah.cls" -> "blah.txt"
  2. upload the file & send your message
  3. when you download the file from gmail, rename it to the original extension as you save it [click the "All Files" tab then save] (i.e.) "blah.txt" -> "blah.cls"
That should fix things.
