Spring Concert Information

6:15pm - Report Time

Members of the 7th Period Chamber Orchestra will be performing a combined piece with the Wind Ensemble. To prepare, we will be doing a rehearsal for the combined piece on Wednesday May 4 (2:20pm - 3:30pm) and Monday May 9 (3:40 - 5:15pm). These rehearsals are necessary to ensure that the students have a fantastic performance on the combined piece at the end!

The Spring Concert will take place on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 - 7pm in our Auditorium. This will be the last performance of the year for the band/orchestra program and for our seniors. We hope you can join us!

State MPA Results

Congratulations to the Chamber Orchestra for their participation in the 2016 Florida Orchestra Association State Festival. The Orchestra earned Excellent ratings from all three adjudicators and represented Rockledge HS with a high level of professionalism. Congratulations to our friends at Titusville, Melbourne, and Eau Gallie for their performances as well!

Dress
School shirt (or school colors) and shorts/pants suitable for an outdoor event.

Inclement Weather Plan
If there is a likely chance of poor weather conditions, we will host the event in the Rockledge HS Auditorium. 

Parent Responsibility
All students are required to check-in at their report times. You may check in early if you arrive early. Parents are responsible for supervision of their student at all times, or delegating that responsibility to another parent, for the duration of the event. We do not have the ability to supervise the entire Cocoa Village area. Basses, we will have a secure location for your equipment. Violins/Violas/Cellos need to have their instrument with them at all times.

We have been selected for the 2:00pm slot on April 13th. This is the first time Rockledge has participated in the State Orchestra festival since April 2005!

Financials:
Please make sure you have the trip fee taken care of before April 11. This is the absolute last day we can accept money! $35 for performing members and $25 for non-performing members and chaperons. If $$ is an issue, please contact the Director and we will work out and financial issues!

The members of the Chamber Orchestra have qualified for State FOA Festival!

Blake High School


We have submitted our registration, and currently we are waiting for a performance time. We are expecting to go on April 13, but we are unsure of the time right now. As soon as we know, we will pass along that information as well with permission slips.

Members of the 6th period are encouraged, but not required, to attend as well...Not only to support their fellow peers, but to also see some of the best orchestras in the state of Florida! 

Cost
7th Period: $35 (charter bus and registration fee)
6th Period: $25 (cost of the charter bus)
Parent Chaperon: $25 (cost of the charter bus) (need 4)

Payment by Check Deadline: March 29, 2016
Payment by Cash Deadline: April 8, 2016
