Special Session

Context Awareness in Big Data (CABD2017)

affiliated with

6th International Conference on Context-Aware Systems and Applications, 2017

NOVEMBER 23–24, 2017

Tam Kỳ, Vietnam

Context awareness, as a key feature of ubiquitous and pervasive computing systems, has existed and been employed since the 1990s. The major areas of context-aware computing evolved from desktop applications, web applications, mobile computing, ubiquitous computing to the Internet of Things (IoT) over the last decade. However, concept of context-aware computing became more popular with the introduction of the term ‘ubiquitous computing’. Ubiquitous computing is a concept in software engineering and computer science where computing is made to appear anytime and everywhere. In contrast to desktop computing, ubiquitous computing can occur using any device, in any location, and in any format.

The topic “Context Awareness in Big Data” is necessary and one of the hot topic in recent researches. We focus on analytics and computational science the information of the Internet of Things, especially in Big Data. The topic touches on a wide range of research topics, including (but not limited):

  • Context in Fuzzy Systems
  • Context in Smart Sensor Networks
  • Machine Learning
  • Context in Computer Vision
  • Context in Probabilistic and Uncertain Reasoning
  • Logic in Intelligence
  • Context in Knowledge-Based Systems
  • Context in Optimization and Swarm Intelligence
  • Ubiquitous computing and its application
  • Context in Computational Intelligence
  • Context in Mobile Intelligence
  • Context in Information Hiding
  • Context in Intelligent Networks
  • Context in Intelligent Control
  • Context in Collective Intelligence
  • Context in Information Retrieval and Integration
  • Context in Geographic Information Science (GIS)
  • Context in Knowledge Representation

The papers will be reviewed by International Program Committee. The accepted submissions for this session will be published in the ICCASA 2017 conference proceedings. The papers should present original and unpublished research.

Papers should be submitted through Confy system, and have to comply with the SPRINGER format. Please follow the instructions given at the ICCASA 2017 site to format and submit your paper. Authors have to find more information from the following webpage.

Official conference proceedings of ICCASA 2017 will appear in the Lecture Notes of ICST (LNICST) series jointly published by ICST and Springer and indexed in DBLP, Google Scholar, ISI Proceedings, EI, CrossRef and Zentralblatt Math.
