  • In the United Kingdom and Ireland, Mother's Day is celebrated on the fourth Sunday in Lent (Mothering Sunday).

On May 5, Japan celebrates Children's Day to respect the dignity, personality and independence of children and honor the contributions of their parents. Many kids will spend the day watching local parades and attending parks, museums, and theaters for free.

Other countries around the world observe Children's Day in different ways, but the focus is always on learning and fun. It’s a day that’s been embraced worldwide as an opportunity for kids to expand their understanding of our world, and consider our future.
