MEMORY
Lets make a mind map about identity.
begin by answering the following questions:
- What is your earliest memory?
- What senses do you associate with it? (smell. touch, sound,taste, see)
- What were your house, street and community like when you were growing up?
- What structures do you remember playing on a kid? What shape where they? what color? what texture? Hot/cold?
- What is the funniest thing you've ever done or witnessed?
- What is the most adventurous thing you've ever done?
- What is a difficult memory for you that might make you feel embarrassed or uncomfortable?
- What is a memory that makes you feel warm and good about yourself?
- List 3 memories you have from when you were 3-8 years old.
- List 3 memories from when your were 9-12 years old.
- List 3 memories you have from when you were 13 to now.
- What are some stories you've heard growing up from adults about their memories?
- What is a memory you and your family (or friends) shared that you all remembered and talk about a lot? Do you have different perspectives or memories of the same moment?
- Who is someone that has strongly influenced you (positively or negatively) in your life? What is a memory you have with that person?
- Why do you think we have memories? (Do they have a purpose? What is it? Are they real?)
- Do you think memories are important to us? Explain WHY or WHY NOT?
- Think of a memory you can remember if you have from your own memory or if it was implanted?

You will be turning in AT LEAST 5 pieces at whatever size you want but at 300 ppi.
This project offers a lot of freedom, so make sure you have an idea to start off with, otherwise you can get overwhelmed quickly.

Here is another way to interpret it.
I chose to focus on how important my family is to me and recreate old family images. I then blended them together. My series was called "I am my mother's daughter" which is a saying I've been told many times.

Because my interpretation uses very simple technique in PS, I would recommend doing more that 3.
