Select a childhood photograph that you find meaningful or visually interesting. Your goal is to recreate the original image as accurately as possible, matching clothing, location, lighting, pose, framing, and facial expression. You will then present the original and recreated image side by side for direct comparison.
Select Your Childhood Photo
Choose a clear photograph of yourself from childhood.
The photo should show your face clearly and have identifiable details (location, lighting, clothing, pose).
Bring a printed or digital copy for reference during the recreation shoot.
Wear clothing that is the same or as close as possible to the original photo.
Match hairstyle, accessories, posture, and body positioning.
If an exact match is not possible, choose the closest reasonable alternative.
Photograph yourself in the same location if possible. If not, find a visually similar location (background, space, environment).
Pay attention to background details and framing.
Recreate the lighting as closely as possible.
Carefully observe the lighting in the original photo:
Natural vs. artificial
Direction of light
Shadows and highlights
Match the facial expression, camera angle, and crop.
Consider focal length and distance from the camera.
