Look up photos that were taken during that time period.
Propaganda, journalistic images, paintings (of older time period)... do not look up advertisements.
STEP 0: Find your historical image
STEP 1: Take a photo of you or a partner.
Include props and styling if possible.
Be thoughtful about the angle the image was taken at and the lighting to create a seamless fit.
STEP 2: Add your photo onto the historical image.
Using the masking tool, remove excess photographic info.
Apply global changes (exposure, contrast, ect...) and filter effects onto your layer to create a smooth, seamless combination of the 2.

Add yourself/partner to the image
Added person must be visible in image
Addition must be seamless. Consider angle, lighting, texture, masking, filter effects...

I masked the table in so it appears that I am standing behind it
I turned myself black and white
I added grain to the image of myself
I used the same flat lighting as in the image

Once you find an image, answer all the questions on your handout.
If you can't find the photographer, type in the article name and source.
