REMINDERS:For a perfect circle selection, HOLD DOWN THE SHIFT KEY while DRAGGING the MARQUEE tool!!MAKE SURE to SELECT from the BACKGROUND LAYER, or else, there is not information for you to select. COMMAND and J to duplicate information on a new layer!Let's start simple:Open an image that's somewhat blurry in PS. Place dots over the image in a specific patter, choose and interesting color that adds to the meaning of the photoALL PORTRAITSALL HAVE SIMPLE CLEAN BACKGROUNDS

COVER UP WITH CIRCLE

KEEP GOING... IN CIRCLES!

1) Select the portrait

2) Filter >add a gaussian blur

3) brush tool > hard edge brush > grid pattern

SWIRLS

Use the liquify tool to swirl and turn someone's face into a circle!

Filter > liquify

Select the swirl tool on the left hand side.

CUT OUT CIRCLES

Using a mask layer, create a circular pattern REMOVING parts of the image.

And some MORE!!

Using the elliptical marquee tool, select different size circles that gradually get smaller (at least 8)

* reminder, click on the background layer, make your selection, click command and J

GO BACK TO THE BACKGROUND LAYER and continue this step...

Once you have them, place in layer order from smallest circle (on the top) to largest,

Click Command and T to SLIGHTLY rotate the image

Using the eliptical marquee tool, make small, circle selections all over your image. Move them around, swap them, and rotate them slightly so your image wtill appears like the original, just slight changed!
