Bowie is pronounced to rhyme with Joey.
David Bowie was born David Robert Jones in Brixton, London, on 8 January 1947. He shares the same birthday as Elvis.
Rock guitarist Peter Frampton was Bowie's friend at school - his dad was head of the art department. He's gone on to play guitar with Bowie many times during his career.
He started playing the saxophone when he was 12 years old.
Bowie's first hit in the UK - 1969's Space Oddity - was used by the BBC in its coverage of the moon landing.
Bowie was hit in the eye by a lollipop while on stage in Oslo, Norway in 2004.
He was in 10 bands - The Konrads, The Hooker Brothers, The King Bees, The Manish Boys, The Lower Third, The Buzz, The Riot Squad, The Hype, Tin Machine and Tao Jones Index. (Some of these performed under other names).
TO START:
Take a straight forward, close up portrait of YOURSELF with a blank background and a bright exposure.

3. Make a new layer blank by clicking the new layer icon. and label the layer FACE PAINT
4. Paint a SOLID Red Lightning bolt over part of the face. Then add a blue and red bolt too!
OPTION 2 using the polygonal lasso tool, make the shape then use the paint bucket tool to fill itOPTION 3 using the custom shape tool, find the lightning bolt shape. Change the fill to red and the stroke to blue.
OPTION 1 Using a hard brush, paint a Lightning bolt in red, a Small black line and Thin blue line.

5. Select the layer with the painting on it.
Click on the drop down (3 dots or down arrow)
LAYER blending modes allow you BLEND layers DOWN. It will give you a cool effect.
