PART 1

MARILYN STYLE

1. Take a CLOSE UP portrait of your partner: 2. Open it in PS!

3. Make a new blank layer.3. Select the paint brush. Make sure to use a

HARD BRUSH
Normal mode
100% opacity

4. Pick a color and paint your color over the element/part you are painting. Paint the following, each with a different color:

LIPS
EYE LIDS
EYES/ IRIS... not the white part of the eye!!!
SKIN (cover the eyebrows, nostrils)
HAIR (not the eyebrows)
SHIRT
BACKGROUND

5. Make the top layer a threshold adjustment layer... Hold down control and click on the threshold layer> create clipping maskDOUBLE CLICK ON YOU BACKGROUND LAYER

6. Make sure your layers look like this:Top layer: THRESHOLD with CLIPPING MASK (command click on threshold layer)Middle layer: Portrait on MULTIPLY blending mode Bottom layer: Your painted layer- normal blending mode

10. Adjust the HUE so the image now has totally different colors than the original you made. 11. FILE> SAVE AS> AW 2-9. jpeg12. Repeat these steps so you have a total of 9 images, 3x3 grid!

PART 2: Pick your style

PHOTO BOOTH

1) Take 4, CLOSE UP, different expression portraits of your partner and place them in a grid format. in PS. 2) Add black and white, threshold, contrast filters and blend them down until you like the look!

OUTLINE

1) Take a portrait of your partner with a fun expression!2) Add a threshold layer and black and white and blend it down!3) Add a new blank layer and draw colorful outlines

COLOR BLOCK

1) Add 4 photos in a grid format on PS.2) Make a threshold layer and add a clipping mask3) Paint a DIFFERENT solid background color for each image4) Blend the background block colors with the photos
