International Symposium on
Aerial Robotics
June 19-20, 2017, Philadelphia, PA, USA Motivation and Goals Autonomous Micro Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) have many applications including aerial photography, environmental monitoring, surveillance, transportation, and inspection. Small vehicles are capable of autonomously navigating and mapping indoor cluttered environments without using GPS allowing applications in search and rescue. There are many interesting research challenges in perception, control, estimation and learning, as well as technology development challenges for fielding autonomous vehicles.
This conference brings together researchers from academia, government and industry to address broad challenges in research, technology development and product design in the area of UAVs. It will feature presentations by researchers, demonstrations by practitioners and panel discussions involving thought leaders in technology, innovation and policy.
