Summer Opportunities:

2. The Canyon Crest Academy iGEM team is hosting an immersive five-day bio engineering and environmental science camp for rising 5th through 9th graders in the QUEST Laboratory at CCA, and it will take place June 18th to June 22nd from 9am to 2pm.

(See VIDEO of students presenting the program at the SDUHSD Board Meeting)

Canyon Crest Academy iGEM is a club that participates in International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM), an annual bio engineering competition. As a part of our outreach initiative, we would like to share our passion for science with the community, especially with young students.

During the camp, students will learn project design, acquire laboratory techniques, perform experiments, and take part in fun activities related to the principles of biology, bio engineering, and environmental science. As our team members have had extensive experience in scientific research, we have prepared an exciting educational curriculum that blends both lesson-based and hands-on learning. Lunch is available at the camp as an option.

The iGem teams looks forward to meeting the students and teaching the next generation of scientists!

For more information regarding the team and past CCA iGEM events, like school assemblies, please visit our official website at ccaigem.weebly.com. Here is the direct link to register for CAMP.

In science 7 we will learn many things.  We will learn about scientific inquiry and process,  properties of matter, ecology, geologic processes and human health.  I hope you will find the information you need to succeed on this site. I look forward to working with you!    There is extra help most Mondays at lunch.
