    Shaping student will use to submit the Forth Quarter Topic Report.

  • Shaping (Composite Fabrication)
    Shaping is a year long course that explores the History, Culture and Production of performance boards. 
    We use Foam, Epoxy, Wood and Fiberglass (Composite Fabrication) to make boards.
    Innovation, craftsmanship, and an entrepreneurial spirit guide our practice in this exciting hand on class.

    The Encinitas Advocate recently wrote and article about the class.

  • AP 3-D Studio Portfolio Requirements
    All AP 3-D Studio Art students will create a portfolio according to the College Board requirements. 

         8 Breadth pieces (a variety of high quality pieces that demonstrate proficiency in a number of techniques) 
         8-12 Concentration pieces (works describing an in-depth exploration exploration of a particular 3-D design concern.

        *All students will present their portfolio at the Spring Art Show in May for assessment
        *College Board submission of your portfolio is not required.

        To earn a top score in an AP Studio Art course students must produce high quality work, meet all deadlines and                 complete appropriate research. Time outside of class will be required to complete assignments.

        AP students should be familiar with the expectations, rubrics and examples posted on the AP Central website.

  • 2014-15 Changes, Challenges, Opportunities
    This will be an exciting year at LCC filled with many challenges and opportunities.

    The Arts are Alive and well and continue to be a vital part of the LCC experience. 

     The New Learning Commons is the home of our annual Student Art Show. This new space will showcase the many outstanding artist at LCC.

  • Welcome to Ceramics/Sculpture and AP 3-D Studio Art 2017-18
    Thank you for being a part of the Visual Arts program at LCC. We have a fun and challenging year ahead of us n the Ceramics Lab. If you are brand new to Art you are in the right place. If you have experience in Art and are an accomplished Ceramicist you are also in the right place. It is my goal to make your experience in Art one that builds your confidence and stays with you a Lifetime. All you need in my class is a willingness to work an a mind that is open to creativity.
