College Readiness Application and Information

College Readiness is a year-long, elective course that provides academic and organizational support to motivated students.  Teachers generally nominate students who are not currently achieving their full academic potential.
In class we support students through tutoring (both with peers and with college tutors), study skills training, goal setting, and organization.  Students will learn strategies that will help them with reading and writing in all of their classes.  Students take responsibility for tracking their own grades and missing assignments to prepare them for the rigors of high school and college.

I work hard to establish a sense of community among students so they feel like they have a safe place to learn and challenge themselves.  Please don't hesitate to e-mail me with any questions about the program.
