AP World History

Welcome to AP World History! We have an exciting and rigorous year ahead of us in which we will explore our World’s history. This class will, without a doubt, require much more attention and studying than previous history classes you have taken. The scope of this class is immense as we will cover prehistory through the present day; which is over 10,000 years of history! Emphasis will be placed on the major themes of the course (politics, economics, interaction, culture and social structures) and skill development, particularly critical thinking, analysis and writing skills. The focus will be in preparing students for the AP test which is on May 15, 2014.

Below you will find a calendar with homework listed daily. Additionally, some important documents can be found at the bottom of this page (such as your reading schedule, syllabus and study suggestions); however, blackboard will be the main source of documents/resources for this course. Our textbook also has some great online resources available to aid in your studies, please check it out!
