Welcome to my class home page!
My name is Eric Gershman, affectionately known as "Gersh" or "Mr. G" by current or former students. I teach both Foundations of English Language Arts 9 Academic and Senior Thesis Seminar. I have been a member of the Language Arts Department for the past 20 years in various capacities: as an eighth grade teacher, SAT Prep teacher, 10th grade English teacher, Senior English, and as a 9th grade academic and honors teacher. Additionally, I am the school's yearbook adviser for our annual publication, The Retina. I have come to Springfield Township High School via Temple University, where I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature; and Arcadia University, where I received a Master of Education degree in Secondary Education. I also serve as a participating instructor in the Teaching with Primary Sources Program at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. I am a proud husband and father of three beautiful children. I look forward to a very successful year with my classes, and hope that I may count on you in becoming partners in our community of learners.
