Welcome to Mrs. Wolter's home page!  This is my 16th year at the Day School.  I graduated from Converse College in 1999 with a major in Spanish and a minor in Latin, so I am a real language person.  I love learning new languages and about the cultures in the countries where the languages are spoken.

On a personal note, I have been married 12 years to my wonderful husband Phil.  We have a 10-year-old named Zachary who is the sunshine of my life.
I love my cats Samantha and Cleo.  Pandora recently passed away.  She was the white one and queen of the household.  Pandora was my lap-kitty and reading buddy.  I miss her still each and every day.  Samantha is the white and black one.  She is my adventurer and ends up in odd places; note the bowl!  Cleo is the long-haired brown, black, and gray one.  She is the cuddler and will drool on you if she is particularly comfy and cozy.  Pandora was her buddy and Cleo misses the attention that Pandora always lavished upon her.  She has become my shadow since Pandora has left us.

Our newest addition has been a beagle puppy named Gnocchi.  She gets bigger every day and is quite energetic, as are most beagles.  Her little nose distracts her all the time when she smells new and interesting things. We love her very much, although the cats are still not quite so sure!  It is hard to get a good picture of Gnocchi because she so rarely sits or lies down, but I will update as better pictures are available.

I teach at the Day School because I love the feeling of community that you can feel when the school year is full swing.  I love working with middle school students.  They are funny, smart, perceptive, sensitive, and absolutely amazing.  They teach me as much as I teach them.
