How do I create a website for my classroom? 

You have many choices for creating classroom websites.  Springdale Public Schools does not require that you use any one tool for your classroom.  We recognize that different teachers use different tools in the classroom.  We offer several tools for you to use, depending on your goal for your online classroom presence.  You can use any or all of these tools.  We will try to discuss your options here and give you the support you need to achieve your online goals.

Moodle
Pros:  
Your classrooms are created automatically based on what is entered in eSchool.
Students are automatically enrolled into your class based on data from eSchool.
Tests can be integrated from many textbook companies.
It is a very powerful tool for your online classroom.
Cons:
It can be difficult to learn and configure this tool.

Google Classrooms
Pros:
Very nice look and feel.
It is easy to configure and get started.
Google has produced professional videos and training manuals.
It is easy to change the theme of your page.
Cons:
You must create each class by hand.
Students must join your class manually.
To create self-grading tests, you must use 3rd party gadgets.

Google Sites
Pros:
You can share this type of page with the public, so it is a nice way to communicate with parents.
It is easy to configure and get started.
There are quite a few tutorials to support you as you get started.
It is easier to change the theme of your page.
Cons:
You must create each page by hand.
It takes a few extra steps to create assignments (vs. Google Classrooms and Moodle)
To create self-grading tests, you must use 3rd party gadgets.

An outside provider, like Wix or Weebly
Pros:
You can share this type of page with the public, so it is a nice way to communicate with parents.
It is easy to configure and get started.
Cons:
Your page is not guaranteed to be available to students on the school network.
The school district will not be able to help you with your page.
