Music Education

Music has the ability to transcend the limits of verbal expression, which gives EVERY PERSON the ability to use music as a method to engage and express, both individually and in ensemble.  It involves and affects both thought and emotion so that every person can make a unique contribution.  Music allows the individual growth and development of the "whole child."  This allows every child to contribute positively to society as a whole by encouraging creative engagement and critical thinking skills, as well as developing social skills.

Every person has an inherent need to develop avenues for self-expression and communication.  It is our goal to provide a curriculum which ensures all students have access to a program where they can learn to value music through the acquisition of skills, knowledge and concepts.
