Migrant Education

The Migrant Education program is a federally funded national program that provides supplemental instructional and support services to eligible migrant children.  Students qualify for this program when their parents move across district lines to take an agriculturally related job.

Tutors at each school work under the supervision of the classroom teacher to help meet the academic needs of the students.    In addition to tutoring, all migrant students qualify for free lunch.  The program has limited health money to provide vision, dental or medical help.

A secondary tutor works closely with the counselors to make sure high school students are on track for graduation and have every opportunity to complete their education.
