English Language Learners

Serving over 40% of the Springdale School District’s student population, the English Language Learners (ESL) Office serves several important roles in the Springdale Public Schools. Our office is one of the first stops for English Learners (ELs) and their families as they are welcomed into our school district. Upon arrival, we test students to determine the best placement and services for them and continue to assist the student’s families and schools as the students work toward graduation. Our office also supports teachers and administrators as they are working with ELs in the classroom by providing ongoing professional development and curriculum support. Finally, the ESL team works diligently to connect the families of ELs with the community of Springdale.
