Alternative Learning Environments

Springdale’s Archer Learning Center has features that distinguish it from other schools. Classroom sizes are smaller with an average of 15 students per class. Each student at Archer is provided with an adult mentor. These student advocates help students map a pathway for graduation, apply for financial aid, monitor grades and attendance and serve as a positive role model. Each teacher at Archer is committed to the mentoring program.

Within the academic program, Archer offers many of the same courses as Springdale and Har-Ber High Schools. Teachers follow Common Core State Standards and Arkansas Frameworks. Teachers are supported  by a mathematics and literacy coach. Individual computers and smart boards provide 21st century technology.
