We are finishing our study of Titanic this week with several interesting, creative, and hands-on activities. Monday and Wednesday, students will be filming a mini-movie in their small groups based on their research and scripts they've written about a specific topic relating to Titanic. This project is completely student-driven: their research, collaborative script writing, choice of green-screen background, costumes and props are all through their effort. Once the videos have been filmed, Mrs. Kuhn and I will edit them together for each class, creating their own "You Are There" mini-movie about Titanic. I hope to post them here and on our WMS website for you to enjoy.

We will also be attempting to communicate in Morse Code, determine who, if anyone, was to blame for the flooding and sinking of Titanic, and to experience "hands on", what the ice water of the Atlantic Ocean felt like during that fateful night.

Tuesday is our seventh grade field trip to the Peggy Notebart Museum to give us background knowledge about our next project, Greening.

I wish you all a happy, relaxing Spring Break!
