Our students will be generating a creative and inclusive list of rules and expectations for our classroom, setting up their binders, chosing an independent reading book, writing a descriptive response to a picture prompt, and tackling their first assignment called "Selfie All About Me." And that's in only the first three days!

I can't wait to dive into interesting and challenging literature and non-fiction selections, expand our writing and creative and analytical thinking skills, incorporate new technology, and push ourselves to do our best.

MAP TESTING - will be August 29th and 30th. Please make sure your student is getting enough rest and eating a good breakfast (and not only just before testing )to ensure a productive and successful day at school!

Some important information to note:
  • Students should have a sturdy three-ring binder only to be used for ELA, 5 dividers, and loose-leaf paper, as well as a pen and pencil for class each day
  • Students should be reading 20-30 minutes each evening
