GRADING IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION

THE PE GRADE IS BASED ON TOTAL POINTS.  EACH STUDENT MAY EARN 10  POINTS PER DAY.

POINTS ARE DEDUCTED DAILY FOR:

  • LACK OF PARTICIPATION/EFFORT

  • UNSAFE OR INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR

  • TARDINESS

  • CHOOSING NOT TO FOLLOW DIRECTIONS

TESTS, QUIZZES, PROJECTS AND SKILL TESTS WILL VARY IN POINT VALUE

UNPREPARED POLICY

If a student does not have their complete uniform (tee-shirt/sweatshirt, shorts/sweatpants, and gym shoes) they will lose all ten points and not be able to participate in the daily activity (basketball, floor hockey, etc.).  The student will walk the duration of the class.  If the activity the class is participating in does not allow the student to walk the perimeter of the gym safely then they will be using a stepper.

For every three times that a student is unprepared their parent/guardian will be contacted by either a phone call or email.
