What is the Substitute Cooperative?
The Substitute Cooperative is a substitute consortium comprised of 7 school districts located in the Lincolnwood, Morton Grove and Skokie area. We recognize that the role of the substitute teacher is a professional and valued job and our school cannot run without you. Substitute teaching involves many different experiences with many individuals and does present some special challenges as you navigate from school to school.
Our school districts use an automated phone/internet placement service of Absence Management (formally Aesop). Once you have gone through the complete application process including interview and criminal background check, Absence Management credentials will be issued.
Also, by being a part of The Substitute Cooperative, you will have the added benefit of being able to join the Partnership Financial Credit Union.

Pay Rate
Full Day - $135
Full Day after 50 non-consecutive assignments - $150
Half Day (4 hours or less) - $85
Full Day Substitute Nurse (R.N./L.P.N.) - $175
Half Day (4 hours or less) Substitute Nurse R.N./L.P.N.) - $90
Assignment totals do not accumulate from year to year. Assignment totals reset at the end every school year.
