Welcome to Our Garden Created by Butterfield Early Childhood and Kindergarten Classes Our Mission Butterfield Kindergarten and Early Childhood created a sensory garden to enhance the butterfly garden created last year. Both of these problem based learning projects were designed around a question created by our children. Supported by our curriculum in Science, Reading, and Writing students developed common core research skills to learn about our senses. Kindergarten also had Kohl Children's Museum come to our school for field trip that explored each of the senses at learning stations. From that work, our students help design a Sensory Garden that can be used to develop and learn through hands on activities.
