The seniors of American Falls Academy have built a "Good News" bulletin board that is between Kens and Rockland Pharmacy. The board notifies the public of positive events that are happening in our classrooms and schools that usually do not make the paper. Seniors from the Academy have been assigned to different schools and visit with teachers weekly to gather information for the board. It is the Academy's wish that this board will become a tradition for the posting of positive school news in the community. Information is changed every Wednesday; please stop by and read about the many wonderful things that are happening in our schools!
The current students are:
Hillcrest - Stephanie Wasson, Frank White
Intermediate - Oscar DonJuan, Jordan Montross
WTMS - Jozef Roberts, Hunter Campbell
HS - Ignacio Fonseca, Dulce Gonzalez

In Mr. Lance's biology class the students are generating their own understanding of ecology through research. After they completed the research assignments, they were responsible for teaching various concepts to their peers through a presentation, thus practicing their communication and teaching skills. The students have taken ownership of their education during this project and for those who put forth the required effort, they have gained substantial knowledge of ecological concepts. We believe that by teaching you learn, and this is how we try to develop our lessons here in biology class

In Mrs. Raya’s first grade classroom, the kids
are learning to handle being in school all
day, eating lunch in the cafeteria, enjoying 3
recesses, and becoming responsible for their
personal items. All of the first graders are trying
and succeeding at them. In the classroom they
are also working blending. This helps students
with reading and becoming good readers in the
#1 goal in first grade.
