Call for Candidates

We hope you and yours are staying safe and well.

As a Sun City West social club, The Boomers Club still is not hosting events and we don’t yet know when, if, or how we will resume. Your Board is working with management on ways to continue the fun.

One thing we know…for our Club to continue in 2021, we must have officers. Our election will be held in November. Please think about your role with our Club. We will need to elect a president, vice-president, treasurer and secretary, and we also may have some appointed positions open (i.e. Events Coordinator, etc).

Is it your turn to step up? Do you want to help guide us in returning to our “old normal”, or to whatever our “new normal” will be?

And to our newer (dare we say, younger?) members: we love fresh energy and ideas. Don't hesitate to get involved.

Don’t know what that means? Please feel free to contact any of the current Board members or you can contact Martha Sargent, Chair of our 2021 Nominating Committee (martha.sargent@yahoo.com). Plus, check out our Bylaws and Procedures Manual on the Business tab of our website.

How about it? Ready to help lead the future of our Club?

SCW Boomers Bowling League

SCW Boomers Bowling League

GREAT NEWS

The SCW Boomers Bowling League Season will be starting up in October 2020 at the RH Johnson Sports Pavillion.

It has been a strange year and unfortunately it is not over yet. The bowling alley is planning on having leagues start in the fall, but it is going to look a little different.

  • Bowlers must have their own equipment. No rental equipment will be available.
  • There can be only 15 teams bowling at the same time, with a 4 person team on 2 alleys.
  • Bowlers will have to wear masks in the bowling alley and observe social distancing from other bowlers. Mask can be removed while you are on the approach line, so you can breathe while you bowl.
  • The bowling alley has assigned us to start times to accommodate all the teams. The times are 3:00 pm and 5:30 pm on the following dates 10/11, 10/25, 11/8, 11/22, 12/6, 12/20, 1/3, 1/17, 1/31, 2/14, 2/28, 3/14.
  • If the ban is lifted on social distancing we will go back to having our regular schedule again.

The League has room for approximately 33 Boomers Members to join the league for this season.

If you are interested in joining this fun group, contact the League Secretary

Dee Roark at 303-328-5982 or email darralane.roark@att.net
