IMPORTANT INFORMATION - COVID-19 and Canberra Gang Show

Hi All.

It is with deep regret that I must announce that Canberra Gang Show 2020 has been cancelled.

This has been a very painful decision, but in light of the unknown future of the CoronaVirus spread and impact we are unable to plan around the possibility of performing this year.

Canberra Gang Show takes the health and safety of its participants, supporters and patrons extremely seriously and this is why we have taken this decision.

Naturally, there will be questions around refunding of fees paid - I respectfully ask that you give the management team some time to sort out the logistics to facilitate this process. It should not take very long, but we do have a few 't's to dot and eyes to cross' first.

I would like to extend my thanks to the management and production teams who have worked tirelessly since August 2019 to prepare for this show and I can assure all of you that we will be back as soon as it is safe to do so.

Hopefully we will be in a position to run a PAWS (Performing Arts WorkShop) activity for Cubs and Cub-aged Guides as well as put on a small Floriade Gang Show.

We will be in touch in the next little while to advise the refund process.

In the meantime, if you have any questions, please direct them to either Mark Slattery or David Cossart via the below e-mail addresses.

David Cossart : accgp@scoutsact.com.au

Yours in Scouting,
Les Hickey

Canberra Gang Show is a great night out at the theater. It's also an amazing training opportunity for around 150

young people of the Canberra Region!

Canberra Gang Show is produced annually by a team of volunteers from the Scouting and Guiding communities.

In 2017 we celebrated 50 years since the first Canberra Gang Show!! After first stepping into the spotlight in 1966

with the assistance of Melbourne Gang Show, in 1968 we went it alone and haven't slowed down since.

Over our colourful history, we have only performed in 4 different venues; The Canberra Theatre between 1966 and 1974,

the Playhouse until 1982, Erindale Theatre up to 2012, and from 2013 at the Tim Murray Theatre.

Our 2020 performance season has been cancelled due to the Corvid 19 Pandemic.

Canberra Gang Show will be back for 2021 - Stay tuned for more to come.
