Important!!!!!!!! - Internet Safety talk

posted Apr 3, 2018, 4:17 AM by Owen Breslin   [ updated Apr 10, 2018, 5:05 AM ]

Parents please mark the following event in your calendars. Zeeko internet safety will hold an internet safety workshop with both children, teachers and parents on Monday 16th April. Teachers and pupils will have a workshop during school hours but that night there will be a workshop for parents.

Please note that a representative of each and every family should be present that night!!!! While modern technology presents many wonderful opportunities for us it also is a minefield of potential dangers for our children. Even the most tech savvy of us would not be able to predict where the dangers may lie in the use of laptops, smartphones and tablets. Please ensure that you are there to find out more.

Representatives from Zeeko will talk to the children earlier in the day and will address parents that night.
The information evening for parents starts at 7pm in the school hall.

Best of luck Colaiste Choilm

Best of luck to everyone involved with the. Colaiste Choilm hurling team as they head into an All Ireland final this weekend. Killeigh NS and the wider parish are well represented both on the panel and on the management team.
It is a great honour to be selected for your school, but to see so many of our ex pupils not alone represent their school but to do so in an All Ireland final is incredible. We are very proud of the lads and wish everyone the best in their quest for silverware.

SPAR FAI 5 a side soccer blitz

posted Mar 14, 2018, 10:16 AM by Owen Breslin   [ updated Mar 14, 2018, 10:39 AM ]

FAI ran a very successful 5 a side blitz this morning in Tullamore and Killeigh NS sent two boys teams and two girls teams. The blitz was played in what were dreadful conditions, but despite this the boys and girls from Killeigh produced some excellent football.

There was no overall winners today but rather the top two teams in each group will be called back to playoff again. The great news for us was one of our boys teams and one of our girls teams qualified as runner-up in their group.

A big thank you to Gary Seery (FAI) and his helpers for such an enjoyable day.

Thanks to teachers Ms Boland and Ms Moriarity and also to our choir and the teachers that joined them on the night.
