  • Faile Vintage Club Tractor Run tomorrow The  Faile Vintage Club Tractor Run, in aid of Killeigh Ns and Offaly Down Syndrome, is almost here!! Hope everyone is out shining up their tractors for Sunday!! Registration at Seery's Bar and Lounge Daingean @9.30.  Breakfast and souvenir for all who register on the day. The tractors will arrive in Killeigh approx 12.15 followed by an Auction in Grennans on the Green. Looking forward to a great day. Thanks to all who have supported our fundraising events so far. 😊

  • Engineers Week 2019 Classes around the school have been very busy this week taking on some engineering challenges as part of Engineers Week 2019.

  • Science Blast 2019 The boys and girls of 5th class have been busy recently completing a science project which tested which soil type would be best for growing lettuce. We tested peaty soil, clay, sandy soil and loam to see which one would prove to be the best. As we predicted Loam provided the best overall results, On Wed 6th March we took this project to Science Blast 2019 in the RDS. We will have a full report tomorrow, but for now here are the pictures from what was an excellent day.

  • Visit of Rugby Trophies - European Champions Cup & Pro 14 Trophy The boys and girls of killeigh NS had some very special visitors to the school this morning. John Burns from Tullamore Rugby Club visited the school and he brought along the European Champions Cup & Pro 14 Trophy much to the delight of the children. Thanks John. Parents are reminded that we are still collecting the Aldi rugby stickers for our poster competition entry and any help would be gratefully appreciated.

  • Mini Tractor Run Mini Tractor Run from Paula Nolan on Vimeo. As a warm up for the Faile vintage club tractor run which takes place on Sunday the 10th of March, we held a mini tractor run on Fri 1st March.  The boys and girls of Killeigh national School brought in their go-karts, ride-on tractors and scooters and joined with a number of special guests on their tractors for our inaugural mini tractor run. The procession of different machines left the school and travelled up to the Millbrook Estate where we completed a couple of circuits before returning to school.  There were a fantastic selection of machines on view much to the delight of our parents.
