It is our pleasure to invite you to the First AAPM/IOMP/ISEP Imaging Physics Workshop in Malaysia, from 11-14 November 2015 at Armada Hotel, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.

The workshop is co-organized by University of Malaya and Institute of Physics, Malaysia (IFM), under the collaboration with the International Scientific Exchange Program (ISEP) of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM). The workshop is endorsed by the International Organization of Medical Physics (IOMP) and Southeast Asian Federations of Organizations for Medical Physics (SEAFOMP). We have multiple collaborators (eg. MOH, MNA, AELB) and professional organizations to support this event.
This four-day CME/CPD workshop is focused to the needs of the medical imaging professionals; including radiologists, oncologists, medical physicists, radiographers, technologists as well as researchers who are involved in the practice of diagnostic, nuclear and oncologic imaging. Particular emphasis is placed on the increasingly important roles of multimodality imaging in  treatment planning and disease management. The invited speakers are the fellows of AAPM who are internationally renowned experts in medical imaging.

CME/CPD points will be awarded to the participants who have successfully completed the workshop (total 25 hours  lectures).

The theme for this workshop is “Building Foundations for Sound Clinical Practice”. We are hoping that through  an enhanced understanding of the fundamental physics of the technological advancements in this rapidly growing specialty, the level of expertise in medical imaging can be elevated, thus improving health and wellness in the region.

Please visit our website for further information:

The registration is now OPEN until 10 OCT 2015. Please note that the registration is based on first-come-first-serve basis.

We very much look forward to your presence at this workshop. Your participation will definitely make this event  more meaningful. It is very much appreciated if you could forward this announcement to your friends, colleagues and co-workers.

Thank you.

“Building Foundations for Sound Clinical Practice”

Yours Sincerely,
Chai-Hong Yeong

Canada is proud to host the next IUPESM World Congress on Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering (IUPESM WC 2015), to be held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, June 7 – 12, 2015. The Canadian Medical and Biological Engineering Society (CMBES) and the Canadian Organization of Medical Physicists (COMP) have joined forces to host this international event. The Congress is sponsored by the International Union of Physical & Engineering Sciences in Medicine (IUPESM) and its member organizations, the International Organization for Medical Physics (IOMP) and the International Federation for Medical and Biological Engineering (IFMBE). The Congress will also serve concurrently as the annual meetings for both CMBES and COMP in 2015.

The IUPESM World Congress attracts biomedical engineers and physicists from around the globe. IUPESM World Congress 2015 offers an exceptional opportunity to showcase the breadth and calibre of biomedical engineering and medical physics from around the world. The Congress embraces all aspects of biomedical engineering and medical physics and welcomes everyone who is working in these fields or has an interest in them. The Metro Toronto Convention Centre is located right in the heart of downtown Toronto and provides a truly exceptional venue while offering a superb variety of restaurants, accommodation and tourism opportunities close by.

The Congress is co-chaired by David Jaffray (Medical Physics) and Tony Easty (Biomedical Engineering), who are committed to organizing a truly memorable event. Congress planning activities are well underway, but please don’t hesitate to contact the co-chairs or the Congress Committee to suggest areas of focus that you would like to see covered at the Congress. Your active contribution is welcome and we look forward to welcoming you to our world class city Toronto in 2015.
