On the way to Anchorage from Valdez via the Glenn Highway

Doin' 30 will get you in the hoosgow!

Overnight stop at Slide Creek Campground.

We parked next to an identical Meridian.  Corky and Fred are avid fisherman from Oregon.  They removed 1 of the couches and put in a big chest freezer to hold all their catch.
Slide Creek Campground

I wonder if his middle name is Richard, too?

View from across the street from the campground

Moose sighting on the side of the road!

Anchorage

When the sun shines everyone wants to be outside!!!

Downtown Anchorage taken from Earthquake Park on Cook Inlet

Lots of parks and nature areas to hike and bike.

Out looking for Moose

I guess everyone is

FOUND ONE!!

This one even has antlers.  They shed their antlers every November and grow a new set.

Anchorage has a big moose population.  This park is near the airport and when the moose get to the fence surrounding the airport they stop for a bite to eat.  Lucky us.
